This hotel is located 1/2 mile from the Celle train station. Do yourself a favor and d/l the Deutsche Bahn ap for train info and ticket purchases.
The staff with no exception was courteous and helpful. They speak excellent English, so American travelers are made to feel welcome.
The rooms are modern and clean.
I will definitely be back next year!

A lovely and quaint hotel within walking distance to the historic old city. My room was very clean and comfortable, and on an unusually hot day, it was a pleasant surprise to find air conditioning in every room. This hotel is a great value. The owner was so nice and professional. They took care of me to the airport while I was not able to catch a taxi. So warm and lovely. The room was excellent and clean. Felt like 1990's in Germany.

The rooms are above a restaurant. Everything is well maintained and clean.
On the down side, you need to drag your suitcases up an outside stairs. Not pleasant when it's raining.

It's a beautiful place and the rooms are well-decorated. When I arrived around 3pm there was no one at the reception desk, so I used to phone on the counter to call as instructed by a sign. Someone from the restaurant checked me in. Every time I went in and out of the hotel there was never anyone at the reception desk (even though the description reads reception is open from 7am-10pm). For this reason, I feel it's more of a bed-and-breakfast than a true hotel. I wish there had been a fan in the...
