! The Marmara Hotel – A Good Stay with a Few Funny Surprises Overall, I had a very pleasant stay, but there are a few things future guests should know. First, the website is a little misleading. It mentions an airport shuttle, but there isn’t one, so plan your transportation accordingly. Second, the attached SheMall looked like a movie set after everyone had gone home—almost completely empty. Don’t expect a shopping adventure there. Now, let’s talk about the interior design. I’m convinced the woodwork was designed by a framing carpenter who had a little too much coffee that morning. It has a very… “under construction” personality. 😄 The biggest challenge was the bed. The pillows and mattress felt like they came straight from the Stone Age. Sleeping on them was remarkably similar to spending the night on a sheet of OSB plywood. My back and I had a long discussion the next morning! That said, the staff were friendly, the hotel was clean, the location was excellent, and everything else about the stay was very good. With a softer mattress, better pillows, and accurate information about the airport shuttle, this place would be outstanding. I would stay here again—next time I’ll just bring my own pillow!

Poor customer service. We were left to find out own rooms on arrival with wrong directions. Staff allowed people to que jump at the main reception despite me telling them that I have been queuing for a while. For the price and the supposed 5 star rating I was expecting 5 star service. You will find a better hotel in the same area for the same price or cheaper without a doubt. Staff customer service 2/10 Food quality was at best 5/10 Room cleanliness 8/10 (they did not change bedsheets throughout the 7 day stay) Amenities 5/10

Excellent all inclusive with wonderful facilities and outstanding food. Very generous in their food offerings — we ate great from 7 AM to 2 AM! Highly recommended for families. Specially thanks to Lion, the photographer, for organizing an unforgettable photoshoot that allow us to relive the memories for many years to come.

It was perfect.

We didn’t like: 1. Hotel is outdated needs renovations. Rooms look bigger on the pictures 2. Too hot in main dining room- no difference if you sit inside or outside! So we couldn’t enjoy the food for lunch and dinner. Sweating a lot while eating…They need to put good AC there. 3. Also on a hallway on our floor was very hot like AC was not working 4. Elevators you have to wait long time plus they lost electricity many times but quickly restored 3. Staff rarely speaks English 4. I paid for seaview room but I got view of a hotel building and side seaview. When I complained I was told come back later few times at 10 at 12 … we unpacked and I gave up..Customer relations called me in the room to ask me if we are happy and I told him we are not for the assigned room and they didn’t want to extend 9 hours late check out because our flight was late after midnight( i had no problem to pay extra) he didn’t even listen to me he just said ok you happy ok have a good day bye… What we liked: I was with my husband and with my 3 and half year old son and we liked : 1. the kids club and beach because you could get lounge chairs anytime you go to the beach! 2. The cleaning lady was very nice was making birds and hearts from towels for my son and was always smiling. 3. They had good turkish coffee in the lobby. 4. Jelena the Main Dining room Hostess was very nice and always smiling! 5. Italian AlaCart restaurant food was good and very nice waiter- I think he was manager or supervisor
