Hotel Pacific
10/10 Excellent
"When I saw the price on Hotels.com I couldn't believe it. Something must be wrong.... This place was spacious, clean, welcoming, right downtown and all in all wonderful. I would do it again in a heartbeat"
The Monterey Hotel
8/10 Good
"No A/C was disappointing."
La Bahia Hotel and Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Velvet parking was terrible; I gave the card to one of the short guys, and he asked me to check out, and I said yes. It took 30 minutes before we got our car; people came after us, and they had already left. I texted them before we left the room, but it didn't make any difference. Finally, an Asian guy in a blue uniform came up to us and asked for our last name, and he was very helpful."
Cavalier Oceanfront Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Good place to rest beside the sea"
Vagabond Inn Santa Barbara - Carpinteria South
8/10 Good
"Clean place and decent for the low price per night. Location to downtown and the beach was excellent!"
Portola Hotel & Spa at Monterey Bay
8/10 Good
"We typically stay on Cannery Row at the InterContinental so this was our first at the Portola. PERFECT location for my husband and I and a gorgeous beachy room. He walked to the pier for a fishing day, and I was able to safely walk with others on a pedestrian trail on the boardwalk each morning. Alvarado Street has so many fun shops and restaurants for nighttime. My only negative was one of the mornings I went downstairs to the restaurant by myself. I was seated, then ignored for 20 minutes. Waitstaff made eye contact, but never came to my table. I ended up going to Starbucks. Other than that ideal stay."
