"Great cottage for a date weekend."

"The Depot Inn saved my husband and I on graduation weekend at Truman State. The hotel we booked months ago was dirty and smoke filled and we couldn't stay there. So at 11:45pm The Depot Inn was the only hotel anywhere near by with an open room. We walked into our suite and felt instantly comforted by a clean room, little touches, cute decor, kind staff. We will forever be grateful to The Depot Inn."

"Cool building, stain glass, history of the place was interesting. Has a cool wine/drink bar. Ashley was very helpful and nice. We took a wine and a drink to sit on their patio. Very pretty sitting out there. Our room was nice and big. Couldn't get the tv to work, but no biggie. Our complaint was when we went to bed, all night in the room next to us, they were working in there, sounded like moving ladder and sounded like someone walking with a cane to move things, then quiet for a bit then...

"Nice quiet area. Scenic Town with plenty to do. Staff at hotel very accommodating. Very homey feel. The rooms are a bit outdated. Need a bit of a makeover."

"The setting was nice, quiet, and peaceful. The lady with short hair at the winery lobby at check in was not very personable. When I walked up to say I was checking in, the only response was to look down at papers and hear her say 'Name.' For that much money it shouldn't be too much to ask to see a smile and hear, 'Welcome to Bear Creek we are glad you are here, may I have the reservation name please.' "
