Our "Luxury cottage" had no microwave, no satellite TV and the kitchen and living room were exposed to heat as there are no windows only loose screening that let lots of bugs in. The couch and beds sit on concrete reminiscent of city jail. I realize this property is in the tropics but...

There is a close-by bar that plays loud music, but not super late, and I actually liked hearing the local music. The people I met were so friendly! And really, the host was very accommodating and responded to questions...
