โWe enjoyed our stay and the spectacular views. The cabin was cozy and well kept. The staff was very responsive and polite. My suggestions would be for a small microwave (couldn't reheat leftovers), comfortable chair inside the cabin and maybe an inside door lock to secure the door. Enjoyed Bar Harbor and small venues locally.โ
โThe property is obviously an older facility but it is well maintained and looks fresh and clean. There was not a single thing we didn't like. Easy walk to downtown. We will absolutely stay there again if we return to the area.โ

โMy first time in Bar Harbor and I think that th Chiltern is perfectly located! It's located close to the entrance of Acadia but it was also very easy to walk into town for dinner each night. Dan was very knowledgeable about the area and recommended some great things to do/see. We did many of them! The breakfasts Joan made each morning were all delicious and you have the option of eating in the dining room or getting room service for this meal. โI don't recommend this hotel never. The reception women wasn't nice, and my wife and I couldn't sleep well because my room is loud noise of my door next front door . There is a most upsetting situation. And I was very cold in sleep because the heating didn't work at all night. The heating regulator did not work. It was 2am that I founded that the heating didn't work. I caught a runny nose next day and my trip was interrupted. I never recommend this hotel.โ
โWe loved our stay! Old school charm with amazing views! We loved the location because we could easily get to the park and downtown Bar Harbor but without the crowds of downtown. Loved Bill the piano player at night!โ
โThe only downside to this property was that you pay for an ocean view room and indeed you can see the ocean but itโs quite a distance away. We had not been to this area before and didnโt know the lay of the land so it was a little unexpected to be so far away from the ocean and have a ocean view.โ
โOur room was large, clean and comfortable. It was on the upper floor in the Ocean View building and the view was wonderful. Parking was easy and the Island Explorer stopped at a nearby building regularly. (We toyed with catching the bus at the neighboring Hampton Inn, which might be even closer.) We walked into Bar Harbor several times. We didn't try the restaurants on the Wonder View/Blue Nose property. We also didn't visit the gym or the pools.
