“We would definitely recommend the Groveside. Hosts friendly and helpful. Everything was to a high standard...cleanliness, breakfast. 5 minute walk to the shops and sea-front. Free parking on site. Intimate garden with tables and chairs. Buses go to lots of local places including Exeter and Lyme Regis. Local pubthe Swan , good food and ambiance. If you can get to Topsham, there's a restaurant called The Galley which we would highly recommend. ”

Bridget, Bas and all the other staff we met were charming, friendly and accommodating, including agreeing to bring forward our stay at almost no notice even though we had a fixed, non-refundable booking through hotels.com. This enabled us to visit just before coronavirus restrictions came into place and we had the place to ourselves most of the time. The cooked breakfast was very good.
