"Make staying here a priority for your northern Portugal trip. It provides an amazing haven and break from the rush of travel. The grounds and village are heaven. Impeccably kept. The staff is kind, attentive, caring. The food is gourmet and local for extremely good value. The views are rejuvenating. The pools and sauna were spacious, clean and refreshing. Spa area (free for guests) is nice, Sauna was hot.
Breakfast was much low value in my eyes: they are using 2024 self baked rolls (Lidl, Makro?) though Portugal has such a tradition with bakeries. Saving every penny here? Coffee as usual from vending machine under average.

SPA!!! The thermal massage is a must do. It was very hard to get in. Book in advance when you make your reservation.
The bikes were horrible, but I think they are waiting for new ones.
The concierge was the best we have ever encountered. He gave us an amazing tour of Chavis and provided access to one of the best vineyards we have ever visited. Wonderful service.
