Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well enough. We've compiled a list of handy tips that will get your Accident vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you've got all the right gear. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and a magazine or two. Next, find room in your bag for your laptop, a charger, any daily medications and maybe a cozy neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a pocket knife lurking in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable products, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be your number one priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Consider your footwear choice carefully too, as swollen feet and ankles can be a side effect of flying. Flat shoes which are slightly roomy are your best bet.
- Caused by sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. The great news is there are ways to reduce the risk of developing it. Stay well hydrated, get up and wander the aisles as often as you can and wear compression tights or socks.
