Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you're well organized. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Agnos vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack your passport, travel documents, bank cards and daily medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy novel and a laptop filled with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you intend to take a short nap, a neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you arrive at your destination looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of restricted items differs between airlines, the general rule to follow is nothing flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes screwdrivers, blades, fireworks and fuel. Sports equipment like hockey sticks, and items that could injure passengers, such as swords and batons, can't come on board with you either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to be as comfortable as you can. Opt for easy-to-remove footwear, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and don't forget to take a sweater in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
