No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you're well organized. Take a peek at these handy hints that will help get your Aia escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a great experience if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and a few magazines. Next, leave space in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and matches, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and choose shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
