If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be tough. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these helpful hints and enjoy a stress-free start to your time in Alma. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack in your passport, official ID, credit cards and medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a laptop filled with your favorite shows are some fantastic options. If you hope to catch forty winks, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you touchdown looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to feel as comfortable as possible. Pick flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to take a jacket in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- The result of prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your ankles and legs moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
