We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be cruising through the airport and having a ball in Argillite before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, put in your passport, official ID, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a phone filled with your favorite shows are good options. If you plan to take a short snooze, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you arrive at your destination feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and pack a cardigan as it tends to get cool inside the cabin during long-haul flights. Slightly roomy, flat shoes are also a wise idea.
- Unfortunately, a risk of flying long distances is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To avoid this, take every opportunity to wander around the cabin. Compression tights and socks are another great idea to help reduce this risk.
