Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you prepare well enough. We've made a list of handy tips that will get your Ashington vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, pack in your passport, travel documents, bank cards and medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a tablet filled with your favorite shows are some terrific options. If you intend to catch up on some sleep, a quality neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll hop off the plane feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and strong acids, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your number one priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a smart option, as are flat, slip-on shoes.
- Caused by sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long-haul flights. Lower your risks by staying hydrated, keeping your legs moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
