We've rounded up all the info you need to make your journey as stress-free as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be speeding through the airport and discovering Bandra in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a stress-free experience if you bring the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Go for shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to bring a pullover in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
