Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well prepared. We've put together a list of handy hints that will help get your Barco escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having a pain-free flight experience is to plan ahead. So, let's start with the essentials: passport, travel docs, credit cards and important medications. Next, take on board items that'll help while away those hours, like your laptop or a good read. You'll also want to bring your chargers, a quality neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones. Finally, be sure to chuck in toiletry items like a toothbrush, cleansing wipes and a fresh set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and poisons, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Pick a pair of slip-on shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to take a pullover in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers on long-distance flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your lower limbs moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
