Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you prepare well enough. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will help get your Bentonsport vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having an amazing flight experience is to plan ahead. First up, the essentials: passport, travel documents, cash and daily medications. Next, bring items that'll help keep you occupied, like some electronic devices or a juicy novel. It's also smart to pack your chargers, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earphones. Last but not least, be sure to squeeze in toiletry items like a toothbrush, deodorant and a spare set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and poisons, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your number one priority when deciding what to wear on board. Consider your footwear with care too, as swelling of the feet and ankles are a common side effect of flying. Roomy, closed-toed shoes work well.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-distance flying is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, make the most of every opportunity to wander around the cabin. Compression socks and tights are another easy way to help reduce this risk.
