Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're prepared. We've compiled a list of handy travel tips that will get your Bilara vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a comfortable experience if you bring the right things. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh set of clothes and a good book. Next, leave space in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any daily medications and maybe a neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to be as comfortable as you can. Pick a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to bring a pullover in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Caused by sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers on long-distance flights. Lower your risks by staying hydrated, keeping your lower limbs moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
