Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've prepared well. We've put together a list of handy tips and tricks that will help get your Bitlis vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, put in your passport, travel docs, cash and daily medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy book and a laptop crammed with your favorite shows are some terrific options. If you hope to catch more than just forty winks, a quality neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a few toiletry items to ensure you step off the plane feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to choose comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes by layering up, and wear slightly roomy, flat footwear like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
