Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you're well prepared. Check out these handy hints that will get your Boa escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, put in your passport, important documents, credit cards and daily medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a phone crammed with your favorite shows are some wonderful options. If you hope to take a short snooze, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll step off the plane feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to be as comfortable as possible. Choose shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to bring a sweater in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
