No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well. Take a peek at these handy tips that will help get your Bond vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a great experience if you pack the right things. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and a good novel. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, any medications and maybe a neck pillow as well. Lastly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are not the best place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a cardigan as it tends to get cool in the cabin on long-haul flights. Closed-toed, flat shoes are also a sensible choice.
- Most travelers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There are numerous ways to minimize your risk. Wear a pair of compression socks, drink lots of water often and get your legs and feet moving. Walk the aisles of the cabin or perform some stretches in your seat.
