Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will get your Burgersfort vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a pleasure if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and something to read. Next, find a spot in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Go for comfort over style. Prepare for changes in temperature by dressing in layers, and wear flat, enclosed shoes like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
