We've pulled together all the info you need to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our tips and you'll be breezing through airport security and having a blast in Cabins in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a comfortable experience if you've got all the right gear. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and a good book. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, your medications and maybe a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a sharp object hiding in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable substances, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and pick shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
