Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well enough. Check out these top travel tips that will help get your Capella escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a pleasure if you take the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, any medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and gasoline, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Pick flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to bring a pullover in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Wander around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
