No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're prepared. We've compiled a list of handy tips and tricks that will help get your Clark vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a stress-free experience if you carry the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, any daily medications and perhaps a cozy neck pillow too. Lastly, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of restricted items can differ between airlines, the general guide to follow is avoid carrying anything sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes knives, scissors, spray paint and fireworks. Sporting equipment like bows and arrows, and objects that could harm other people, such as firearms and ammunition, are also banned from the cabin.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and pick shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
