If you're poorly prepared, traveling can be testing. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy tips for a pain-free start to your time in Combes. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be easy if you pack the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, any daily medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a pocket knife lurking in your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive products, such as fuel and fireworks, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The answer to a comfortable flight often lies in the clothes you wear. Prepare yourself for varying temperatures by layering up. This will keep you nice and warm if the cabin starts to cool down. Shoes like flip flops and heels are best left in your checked suitcase. Instead, opt for flat, closed-toed footwear like sneakers. Your feet will thank you for it.
- A condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation. Doing foot and leg exercises in your seat is a great way to prevent this happening. Wearing a good pair of compression tights or socks is also recommended.
