We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight a stress-free experience. Follow our insider tips and you'll be zooming through airport security and enjoying Daksum in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a pleasure if you bring the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh set of clothes and something to read. Next, find room in your bag for your phone and charger, any daily medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, remember to take your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) hiding in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable products, such as fuel and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Go for shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to bring a pullover in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
