Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well enough. We've put together a list of top travel tips that will get your Dardanup West vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a great experience if you carry the right gear. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and something to read. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, medications and maybe a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) lurking in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable substances, like aerosols and matches, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and pick shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
