Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Drumu Carului could be a breeze or it could drag on forever. We've compiled some useful tips that will help you start your next unforgettable escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a pleasure if you carry the right things. First of all you'll need basic toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and a magazine or two. Next, find a spot in your bag for your laptop, a charger, medications and perhaps a neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your airplane are no fashion runway. Layer yourself up with comfortable clothes and don't forget to bring a sweater as it tends to get cool in the cabin during long-haul flights. Flat, enclosed shoes are always a good idea too.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long flights is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To avoid this, take every opportunity to wander around the cabin. Compression tights and socks are also a great idea to help minimize this risk.
