We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as stress-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be speeding through airport security and seeing the best of Elim in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, put in your passport, travel docs, credit cards and medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling novel and a laptop filled with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you intend to take a short nap, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you arrive at your destination feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a Swiss Army knife lurking in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable products, such as fuel and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to feel as comfortable as possible. Go for shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to bring a pullover in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of sitting. To reduce your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks and move your legs and feet often.
