No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you're well organized. We've put together a list of handy hints that will get your Escuminac escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you bring the right things. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, make room in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any daily medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Choose a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to bring a pullover in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Wander around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
