If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be testing. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks for a comfortable start to your vacation in Eva. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack your passport, travel documents, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy novel and a tablet filled with your favorite shows are some wonderful options. If you intend to take a short nap, a neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a few toiletry items so you'll hop off the plane looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and pick shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and keep your legs and feet moving.
