Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Filo could be a breeze or it could go on forever. We've put together some useful tips that will help you start your next great escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a comfortable experience if you pack the right things. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and a good novel. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to be as comfortable as you can. Go for a pair of slip-on shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to take a pullover in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Most travelers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lessen your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks and move your lower limbs often.
