Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Fint could be a breeze or it could go on forever. We've pulled together some handy travel tips that will help you start your next big adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having a worry-free flight experience is to be prepared. So, let's start with the basics: passport, travel documents, cash and daily medications. Next, take on board items that'll help keep you busy, like your laptop or a magazine. It's also a wise idea to pack your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earphones. And of course, be sure to toss in toiletry items like a toothbrush, facial wipes and a fresh set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be the goal when selecting what to wear on board. Consider your footwear with care too, as swollen feet are quite common. Roomy, closed-toed shoes are always a good idea.
- A serious condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation. Doing leg and foot exercises in your seat helps to prevent this from happening. Wearing a pair of compression socks or tights is also recommended.
