No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're well prepared. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Ganna escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a great experience if you bring the right stuff. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a clean pair of socks and a magazine or two. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, your important medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and strong acids, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Pick a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to take a sweater in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- The result of prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers on long-distance flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your legs and feet moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
