Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've prepared well enough. We've compiled a list of handy tips and tricks that will help get your Goristo escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean pair of socks and a few magazines. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, your important medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) lurking in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive substances, such as fuel and matches, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and choose shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks and keep your feet and legs moving.
