If you're not prepared, traveling can be overwhelming. But there's no need to panic. Follow these useful tips and enjoy a worry-free start to your getaway in Hunza. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a comfortable experience if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a spare pair of socks and a magazine or two. Secondly, leave space in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your important medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to go for comfort over style. Prepare for changes in temperature by wearing layers, and wear flat, easy-to-remove footwear like slip-ons.
- Caused by sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers on long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your legs and ankles moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
