Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've prepared well. We've made a list of handy hints that will help get your Iberia escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you take the right stuff. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, any medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and fireworks, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to go for comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes in the cabin by wearing layers, and opt for flat, slightly roomy footwear like slip-ons.
- The result of lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers during long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your lower limbs moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
