Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've planned ahead. Follow these handy hints that will get your Innvik vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a comfortable experience if you pack the right things. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean pair of socks and a good read. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, medications and perhaps a neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and matches, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main concern when deciding what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible option, as are flat, slip-on shoes.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To reduce your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and keep your feet and legs moving.
