We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our tips and you'll be hightailing it through airport security and seeing the best of Itapaci in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you bring the right things. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean pair of socks and a magazine or two. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, medications and perhaps a neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The best way to ensure a comfortable flight can be as simple as the clothes you wear. Prepare for changes in temperature by bringing layers. This will keep you nice and warm if the cabin gets chilly. Shoes like flip flops and heels are best left in your checked suitcase. Even though they may be your favorites, opt for flat, closed-toed footwear like sneakers. Your feet will thank you for it.
- Unfortunately, a risk of flying long distances is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To prevent this, take every opportunity to stretch your legs and walk around the cabin. Compression socks and tights are also a great idea to help reduce this risk.
