No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you prepare well enough. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Jung escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack in your passport, official ID, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a tablet crammed with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you hope to catch up on some sleep, a quality neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll hop off the plane looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) lurking in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive substances, like aerosols and matches, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in temperature by dressing in layers, and pick flat, easy-to-remove footwear like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
