If you're not prepared, traveling can be daunting. But there's no need to panic. Follow these useful tips and enjoy a hassle-free start to your time in Keystone. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be easy if you carry the right things. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, your medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and strong acids, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your aircraft are not the best place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and don't forget to bring a cardigan as it can get quite cool in the cabin during long-haul flights. Closed-toed, flat shoes are always a good idea too.
- A serious condition by the name of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation. Doing regular leg and foot exercises in your seat is a great way to prevent this developing. Wearing a quality pair of compression socks or tights also helps reduce the risk.
