We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be cruising through airport security and enjoying Kılıç before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, pack your passport, travel docs, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling novel and a tablet filled with your favorite movies are some wonderful options. If you plan to take a short snooze, a quality neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll step off the plane looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main concern when deciding what to wear on your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise choice, as are enclosed shoes like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
