Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to La Candelaria could be a breeze or it could drag on forever. We've put together some handy travel tips that will help you start your next big adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be easy if you carry the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare set of clothes and a few magazines. Next, find a spot in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and pick shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of sitting. To minimize your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks and keep your legs and feet moving.
