Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're well organized. We've made a list of handy tips that will get your Lolol escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, pack your passport, travel documents, wallet and medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling book and a laptop filled with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you intend to catch up on some sleep, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll step off the plane looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and matches, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your highest priority when choosing what to wear on your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible choice, as are flat, enclosed shoes.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and move your legs and feet often.
