We've rounded up all the info you need to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our tips and you'll be zooming through the airport and enjoying Lyman in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a comfortable experience if you've got all the right stuff. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any daily medications and perhaps a cozy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and gasoline, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by dressing in layers, and opt for flat, enclosed shoes like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
