We've rounded up all the info you need to make your journey as pain-free as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and having a blast in Maddock before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a cruisy experience if you've got all the right things. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a spare set of clothes and something to read. Secondly, find room in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any vital medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to feel as comfortable as you can. Pick shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and remember to take a sweater in case you get cold in the cabin.
- The result of sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your lower limbs moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
