Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well. Follow these handy tips that will help get your Mansons Landing escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be easy if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and something to read. Next, make room in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, any daily medications and perhaps a cozy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and strong acids, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to feel as comfortable as you can. Go for shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to take a sweater in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks or tights and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
