Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well enough. We've put together a list of top travel tips that will help get your Markovac vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack your passport, travel docs, bank cards and medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling book and a tablet filled with your favorite shows are some fantastic options. If you intend to catch more than just forty winks, a quality neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll arrive looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items can differ between air carriers, the general guide to follow is nothing flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, blades, aerosol cans and bleaching agents. Sports equipment like bows and arrows, and objects that could injure passengers, such as firearms and swords, aren't allowed in the cabin either.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and go for shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to remove.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
