Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're well organized. We've compiled a list of top travel tips that will help get your Masseria vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, put in your passport, travel documents, wallet and medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a phone filled with your favorite shows are some wonderful options. If you intend to catch forty winks, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some facial wipes to ensure you step off the plane looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and fireworks, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and go for shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to remove.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
